This instrument uses 1310nm or 1550nm LED (light emitting diode) as the light source. The output of the LED is coupled into single mode fiber (multimode fiber optional). Special control circuits are designed to achieve highly stable output power. The spectrum of the LED is wide and flat, and is especially suitable for fiber optical component measurement and testing. This is an ideal instrument to provide broad spectral source at 1310nm or 1550nm.
