980nm pump laser diode protector is a specially designed band-stop filter. This filter is connected to the output of the 980nm pump laser diode. It filters out any possible light from the optical link that may enter the 980nm laser diode and affect its operation or even damage it. Based on the applications, the stop band of the filter is C band (1520~1620nm) for Erbium doped fiber amplifier/laser systems, or at 1064nm (1020~1100nm) for fiber laser systems at 1060nm or 1064nm.
The filter has low insertion loss from 960 to 990nm. Hence it does not affect the 980nm pump laser.Features:
