Optical Adapter - Bare Fiber

Bare fiber optical adapters (or mating sleeves) are temporary adapters for bare fiber to quickly connect to other devices or instruments.

It is very useful when the fiber link or fiber spool needs to be tested quickly without splicing a connector on it.

Simply strip and cleave the bare fiber to prepare the surface of the fiber tip, and insert the fiber to the bare fiber adapter. A temporary connector is then added to the fiber. A clip is used to secure the fiber on the adapter.
