This ASE source is a broadband optical light source that covers entire C band (1530~1565nm). Optical fiber gratings based gain flattening filter (GFF) is used in this instrument to generate a flat output spectrum, which has typical power ripple of +/-1dB across the C band. It is an ideal source for the measurement of optical passive devices, DWDM sub-systems, etc.
